Quick answers to common questions

Why won't my tablet connect to the tTEM Wi-Fi network?

After powering on, the unit needs a couple of minutes for its Wi-Fi network to become visible. Confirm that both the Tx and Rx units are powered on, that Wi-Fi is enabled on your mobile device, and that you refresh the network list. If it’s still not appearing, move closer to the unit or restart it via the power button.

My decay curves look flat or noisy — what does that mean?

Flat decays usually mean the RCS20 receiver coil isn’t connected to the receiver cable. Noisy decays near the noise floor often point to a disconnected receiver cable at the Tx unit. Check both connections before continuing the survey.

How cold or hot can I run the tTEM system?

Standard operation covers 0°C (32°F) to 35°C (95°F) with a 25% coolant mix. Below 0°C, increase coolant concentration to prevent freezing, and expect the runners to stiffen. Above 35°C, keep the fan unobstructed and consider shading the transmitter.

Why isn't real-time inversion showing a model?

Real-time inversion is a Premium feature. A grey bar means the inversion is running but rejecting too much data — usually a data quality issue. A blank window points to inversion being disabled in Settings, an expired Premium license, or a process error. Check the About section for license expiry, then contact support@temcompany.com if the issue continues.

What vehicles can tow the tTEM system?

tTEM is designed for towing by an ATV/quad. Larger vehicles with substantial metal frames can affect the signal and require extended transmitter and receiver cables. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is interfering with data quality, run an ATV distance test (Section 9 of the user manual).

How do I get remote support from TEMcompany?

Connect the tTEM unit to external Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot via TEM Data Manager, then share your TeamViewer ID with TEMcompany support. Support may also request a Sapi log, accessible from the tTEM Controller app under Options → Support.

Can TEMcompany access the data on my instruments?

No, TEMcompany cannot access any data on your instruments without you giving us explicit permission to do so.
